I came across this image recently and was struck by how fitting it is for the season or rather the feeling of the change of the season from winter to spring. I do love this time of year when the days are longer and there is promise of even longer days ahead.
The image is an engraving by an unknown artist and was published in Camille Flammarion's book The Atmosphere: Popular Meteorology in 1888.
