Okra!

We have been eating cukes, eggplant, zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, beets and chard from our garden but the okra is the prettiest - so we couldn't help but take a few pictures while cooking the other night.

Picking Blueberries

Saturday was the most beautiful day. The weather was abnormally pleasant for July. Gilly and Colleen headed out early to enjoy the morning and pick some blueberries from Rousters.

Cincinnati found it's way into the New York Times Travel section today. Well, for these and so many other reasons it is a town worth visiting and worth calling home.

Inspiring Gardens, Part 2

I'm not sure when I came across this image on the web but I love the concept. A curbside garden bed with spinach, lettuce and herbs. I asked Andy if we could give it a try and he was not down with the idea. I think probably he's worried all the neighborhood dogs would urinate on our daily salad greens and they would be none too tasty.

A Focus on Northside

Our Vice Prez came to our neighborhood today to talk stimulus investment in Ohio. Looks like Northside might finally get it's wish for remaking the American Can Building.
