Fourth of July

We were in Boothbay Harbor, Maine for the Fourth of July but the day before we did stop in the North End in Boston and I love all the spirit that neighborhood has for the holiday.

June was excited to try her first lobster and to spend time with Uncle Zach and Aunt Yuko

Fireworks over the harbor

After the fireworks, all the New Englanders sang Happy Birthday to America. It was a great way to celebrate Independence Day.

Lovely Rhode Island

At the end of June we went to Newport, Rhode Island for Colleen's cousin Michael's wedding. The hydrangeas were blooming everywhere. Newport is a beautiful, set in Narragansett Bay. Below is a view from the Cliff Walks. There is lovely architecture throughout downtown and then there are the famous mansions. One of our favorite spots we visited was Brenton Point State Part where there were forty or so people flying kites just off of the water. Quite a site!

The wedding was a marvel. After the ceremony everyone boarded beautiful classic yachts and took to the harbor, taking in the view and drinking champagne.

We were aboard a motor yacht called the Rum Runner. It was June's first boat ride!

What a lovely boat in the background. The Newport Harbor is full of the prettiest boats we've ever seen.

June had fun!

We arrived at the New York Yacht Club for the reception. Wow!
