For Andy's birthday I made a Vert-vert, a french pistachio cake layered with pistachio buttercream and covered with homemade fondant dyed with spinach to achieve the green color. This cake was originally created for Claude Monet on his birthday. Fancy!
Our friend Michael made Andy a cake too. An ice cream cake surrounded by chocolate and ahem...more buttercream. According to Michael, this cake was originally served to artist Edouard Manet on his birthday. Double Fancy!
