3rd Grade Art Class with Mr. Houston

The third grade teacher said she was teaching her class about American Indians and asked if I wouldn't mind doing something in art class that would have to do with Indians. I decided to teach the class about the SouthWest Indian Kachina dancers and the class made their own kachina doll heads with the lesson also being based on symmetry. Below are some of the images I showed the students and their own versions. This is my last week student teaching at the elementary school level, and it's been fun.
