The Civic Garden Center offers some of the best gardening classes in town. They are inexpensive and even free if you volunteer there. I can't say enough good things about the CGC. This year their class offerings have been impressive - raising chickens in your backyard, beekeeping, composting, organizing a community garden and more. Tonight I made it to the Allium Class - Garlic, Onions and Their Edible Relatives. Saturday I'm going to a class on growing mushrooms. The CGC is such a treasure. I highly recommend watching their calendar in the coming year to see what they offer.
