I am a big fan of the organization Growing Power, a non profit based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Check out their website here. Founder, Will Allen is known as an urban farming pioneer who has transformed inner city gardening growing and delivery systems to reach underserved communities. And he employs local youth, all of which is very near and dear to my heart! It is very exciting that Will Allen will be speaking at Xavier University at 7 p.m. this Sunday night. It's free and not to be missed!
