While Frank and Jeanne were away we watched their chickens and found this! The first egg laid by their Araucana chickens. Isn't it cute? It is such a pretty color and so small compared to the brown eggs we're used to. They will be glad to come home to find their chicks are laying!

So fun that you found our first one! They are all laying now and it even inspired our other 2 girls, a Sussex to start laying again (she had stopped laying her lighter and larger eggs) and our Black Jersey Giant to begin laying for us for the first time yesterday (she lays brown eggs!). Thanks for taking care of the girls and my garden for us!!! :)
