Greek Cooking Class

This weekend, Jeanne and I took a greek cooking class from the Daughters of Penelope at Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. These ladies shared their family recipes for the class! They offer cooking classes 2-3 times a year. Vera, above led the class. First up, Dolmathes - stuffed grape leaves.
Next we made Piperyes - stuffed peppers with feta

Bourekakia - savory meat filled phyllo rolls

And finally Saganaki, a famous flaming Kasseri cheese dish. The flame comes from lighting brandy around the cheese and when it works everyone yells Opa!
